Has Anyone Gone Out Today And Bought The Tna Video Game?
I actually preordered this game and went to pick it up this morning. This is the worst game I have ever played. Worst game now, not just wrestling game. Save your money and do not buy this game, just rent it and save that cash. Is horrible, I wish I never bought it. The gameplay is complete crap and the controls are worse.

I thought Midway did have a wrestling game..but that was Acclaim. Anyway I will buy it cause it’s TNA’s first game. Dont be so harsh it;’s just the first time. With experience it can only get better. WWE has an experience company to make their games. So thats the reason. I say buy it because it is their first game. And any real fans would buy it. I bet if this was WWE making the mistake everyone would looks past it.
To late i already bought it after seeing TNA Video Game commerical, which i thought was pretty cool. after after playing the game i’ve noticed i wasted $60 bucks on a game that is not worth my money, still playing as Sting is cool but other then that. i wish i’ve never ran out to buy that video game in the mouring
no i haven’t bought it. all i’ve really heard was negative reviews though. So I dunno if I will buy it. I haven’t been really big on wrestling on a week to week basis since the WCW Invasion Storyline in WWE. I’ve caught a few TNA Impacts and a couple Raw’s but it doesn’t intrest me anymore.

TNA is horrible. I would never have bought the game even if you told me it was great.

Though Gameplay and Controls are under the same category, I’ve heard this from a few different places. I have less than nothing in terms of expectations from the game. Why? Because this is only their first time trying to make a wrestling game. Only a few people on the developer’s group have worked on a wrestling game, and that was Wrestlemania 21, a really bad game for the XBox (original).
You have to understand, THQ signed Yukes to do the Smackdown series, and before they started on that (eight or nine years ago) they already had two years of experience making “King of Coliseum” and “Exciting Pro Wrestling” in Japan. Before that, THQ had AKI, Corp. (the company that did Wrestlemania 2000, No Mercy, and WCW/NWO Revenge). And they had experience making wrestling games for five years before THQ signed them.
Midway has ZERO years in experience, so they had to start somewhere. They had to build the engine from scratch, and thus you have a crappy game first time out. Next year will be slightly better. The year after that, better… and so on and so forth. What Midway SHOULD have done was sign AKI, since EA dropped them after Def Jam: Fight for New York (which was an amazing game.)
But even then, AKI has never made a game with a six-sided ring, so they’d still be at a slight loss…
Just calm down. At least the graphics are nice.
I’m getting the game tomorrow, due to wanting to help my friend get points in his store (reserves get him one point, buys afterwards get him five) so he can get more hours. I’ll probably sell it back if downloadable characters take too long to show up online. Anyway… As I said, I have ridiculously low expectations… and the fact that it takes the game an extra day to get here annoys me, because I’d like to play it a little before my girl comes by tomorrow. So that I can get all depressed and have her cheer me up.
