Why do you think TNA is trying to compete with the WWE? … Because TNA is a wrestling promotion? There aren’t many sports out there, with the exception of the NFL, who can compete with the WWE for ratings. This includes PPV buyrates.
TNA vs. WWE would be suicide for TNA. TNA is in the “building” phase. They are slowly gaining their reputation and it will be years before TNA is ready to go up against the WWE. WWE has even looked at taping Raw more often because taping Raw is cheaper than broadcasting live.

Rocco, TNA hasn’t been too long in the game! Now the fossil has been in the game a long time! You are comparing a animal that you see today to a dinosaur! And they will get more fans as they go along!

tna needs to get more fans fast….now would be a good time to sell yourself out because with wwe its the same stuff every week.
tna should bring in new talent…..offer contracts to wwe superstars that arent getting the spotlight right now…..edge would be a good one…..or ric flair….
they need to stop having abyss vs. christian vs. sting every ppv…..and they should be focusing on beating wwe in the ratings…….

Actually it’s more like comparing a Double A team to MLB team like BOSTON, that sells out every game, it’s true TNA is still growing, but just because it’s growing doesn’t mean they can survive in a one sided (WWE) industry…. one mortal mistake and TNA is history

TNA hasn’t been here long enough to get 80,000.
It’s almost comparing NFL to Arena Football, or the NBA to the NBDL. The two cannot be compared to because of size and how long they’ve been around. TNA has not been around nearly as long as WWE, nor does it have the following WWE has to get even 10,000 people at one show. If TNA could survive a couple more years on Spike, as well as fix their problems, they will be just as high as WWE.

i agree with you and dont forget BFG’s 2000 tickets were bought by pacman
which means tna only sold 2000 tickets
i think tna needs to build a promotion that is unique and different rather then competiting with wwe
they are too far behind to be even considered a threat to wwe

TNA is an infant while WWE is a grown man.
Two completely different things.

TNA plans to compete on ratings value…they will never compete sales wise….but ratings wise they might be able to compete some day but who knows right now….TNA has 3 problems right now…Dixie Carter (Woman owner) Jeff Jarret (Has Been Story Writer and Lead Creative) and last but not least Vince Russo (The Man Who Ran Down WCW After He Was Put In Charge) those 3 people are what is holding tna back….get rid of them and maybe the new 3 people can actually run a good promotion….
