The wwe new fans were bored of the baby faced champion and The Austin era was born. He was undoubtedly the most obvious benifactor. Other superstars like DX,The Rock,Ken Shamrock,Mankind,The Big Show and many more have grown due to the feuds with Mcmahon over the years. The fans react very positivly when a superstar goes aginst McMahon simply because his evil character is so convincing. Even the great Hulk Hogan benifited from his feud with McMahon. Interestingly, WCW's feud with mcmahon about stealing talent also saw their business thrive.
