I want something edible. I am planning to use red licorice rope for the ropes. Any ideas for the turnbuckles?? Thanks!!!

    Maybe peppermint sticks or this new cereal straws. They are rice crispies or froot loop made into straws. You can try pretzel rods too, a little strange but it will work

    i don’t know what a turnbuckle is but iam assumeing it is the thing the ropes are connected too. I would use pretzels and poke them through the licorice rope. might have to use thicker licorice like twizzlers or something.

    I was thinking of black licorice bites the small square ones. That may or not be too much licorice for your taste, another idea would be using marshmallows to get a hold of your licorice, its not black but, it Could hold the other pieces together.
    Good luck on the cake, I am sure he will love it.
