Was There Ever A Time When Modern Professional Wrestling (in The Basic Style Of The Wwf/wwe) Was Totally Real?

Was professional wrestling ever real?
Where they ever genuine contests with no predetermined outcomes?
If so, when and where has this been the case? What wrestling organizations did this?
Of course, I am not referring to Olympic wrestling, but rather modern style wrestling that you see in the WWF/WWE, WCW, etc.

First Off – WWE Is Real, The Injuries Are Real, Inferno Matches Real, Some Moves Hurt To Hell And Back
    It Is Scripted
But In HBK’s Autobiography He Notes A Time When He First Got Into The Business As A Low Carder When There Were No Predetermined Outcomes.
Back In The Day The Lower Carders Matches Were Not Scripted

Check out the 1986 NJPW vs UWF feud from Japan…..it was stiff as hell. Japan had several “shoot style” companies start up in the mid-late 80′s and 90′s that eventually became MMA…..UWFi, Shooto, RINGS, Pancrease, PRIDE, etc……

No, absolutely not. I laughed so hard when I read this question, I hurt myself!
If anyone believes that it was ever real, then they are just a moron.
It’s all scripted and they may get hurt when they make a mistake, but 99% of it is ACTING. And, they are terrible actors!
I love it how they “React” to an argument, but they can’t yell back “spontaneously” until after they get a microphone! These shows are for retards!!!! :)

Yes, pro wrestling used to be genuine but obviously it did not involve WWE style antics. Obviously the injuries are real, that’s how they end up being perscription drug addicts.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_…

If it was real, it would never end!! The matches now are only about 10-15 minutes long. If it was real, you would get up for the 3 count. Some get pinned from a spear by Edge, but not from Batista.

He he… that poster who said that the moves hurt like hell isnt lying. While the tombstone piledrivers have to manipulated a little bit to protect the wrestlers spinal cord 90% of the moves are just as painful as they look.

i was watching some documentary on investigation discovery and they said it was real back in the 30′s. it would be boring though with it being real

    WWE has never been real.
