What Do You Think Of “the Rock’s” Career?was He As Good A Wrestler As The Wwe Want People To Believe?
I think (and this only my opinion) he's the only wrestler who ever got over Vince McMahon. He joined the promotion, rose to the top of the WWE in record time then after only a few years left for Hollywood while at the same time keeping his foot in the WWE in case it didn't work. Now he's a big movie star and when is the last time you've seen him in the WWE?

Got something to say?

I agree! And wait wasnt his father in wrestling? I’ve been seeming to think that all these 2nd generation superstars go in wrestling to impress,or as if they feel that they have to become a wrestler,or follow in their ancestor’s footsteps, and when they get into the business, they see that it is not at all what they thought it would be,stay in for a few years, then go trail and do something else.
EXAMPLES:
Reid Flair (Ric Flair)
Trevor Murdoch (what was his dads name? lol dont remember)
AND MORE!
So what, he got over on Vince & rose to the top of the WWE in record time. Big deal, he was my favorite WWE superstar of all-time, then all of a sudden he left for Hollywood, I mean come on now, foot in the door, I think he’s been almost completely ignored by everyone. The Rock is in my past & the likes of Triple H, Jeff Hardy, The Undertaker, John Cean, Rey Mysterio & etc.. are in my present. And another thing, John Cena, Triple H & Mr. Kennedy Have done movies in Hollywood & have come back to the WWE, because they love performing for the WWE fans.
The Rock was a great performer. but unfortunately, Dwayne Johnson is too good for wrestling anymore. He goes from using the name “The Rock” when he hit hollywood, then it’s Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and he’s dropped the name all together. I love The Rock, but I Hate Dwayne. To answer the question, when he gets over himself and helps out the business that made him a star.
He wasn’t a great wrestler seeing as most of his fights were just brawls. He did do some good moves but they only developed to look that good because it became his signatures such as the Rock Bottom and his variation of the spinebuster.
He wasn’t a great wrestler but he is among the top performers and entertainers that the WWE/F has had.
His choice from leaving wrestling cannot truly be disagreed with seeing as he made the safe choice by keeping himself from risking injuries and joining some movie casts. He had achieved everything the WWE could give him and had no need to continue wrestling.
The announcers always built The rock as WWE’s greatest athlete. Which really depends on your definition of athletic. The Rock certainly didn’t have the greatest move set and he certainly cant do some of the things that Shelton Benjamin can do. But he wasnt that bad and he sure was entertaining as hell. Overall i would rank him as an average wrestler and an amazing entertainer.
I think he was a good wrestler but i think it was just more than he wanted to do movies. i think there is a lot that happened behind the scenes. but that what i think and the eyebrow and if you smell what the rock is cookin is from an era in wrestling that was probably the biggest of all times. but HHH got up real quick too but he was and still is a backstage politic
i consider dewayne Johnson’s wrestling carear, as a clown wrestler, sure he was good on the mike, but the peoples elbow, give me a break, just as bad as the 619.some moves were alright, other were just bad. that’s just my opinion, as a wrestling fan of 51 years.
Don’t think he was ever a great wrestler – but he made the crowd pop, and in the WWE, if you got the crowd on your side or hating you big time, you’re in the money. Don’t think I’ve seen a film he’s been in I’d want to watch again though.
I agree with you.
I think his career as a wrestler was also hilarious. The People’s Eyebrow and whatnot. (“Can you smell what the Rock is cookin?”)
His movies aren’t great but he does his job, so I guess he’s done a good job so far in both careers.
I wouldn’t say he was a great wrestler, more of a great entertainer, his promos were awesome and he was just entertaining to watch.
The Rock was not a great wrestler but he was a great entertainer. He actually had a limited move set and mostly threw punches. I know I am going to get thumbs down, oh well.
He was an entertaining wrestler. Not a very good technical wrestler but someone who was good enough to put up a great show.
The Rock had his moments, but to really beconsidered a great
wrestler,he needed to be around another 5 years or so
“Big movie star”? He’s a Hollywood C-list actor. And he was over-rated on WWE.
Hey dude Unlike you i don;t watch youtube videos of the rock i think he was great you do deserve a thumbs down
