What Do You Think Tna Can Do To Bring The X-division Back?

I remember when TNA first started out, the X-Division was the reason people would tune in, even at one point the X-Division was right there with the Heavyweight Division.
So, what can TNA do to bring the X-Division back to what it was?
On a side note; I think having Shelley and Sabin feud over the title would be epic. They're back at Genesis owned.
Thanks.

They would have to stop trying to compete with the WWE at the WWE’s game. Since their move to two-hours in prime time, TNA has tried to copy the WWE’s formula (focusing on a few established “names”, convoluted storylines, advancing those overblown storylines through skits, and making the World Heavyweight Title the only one that really matters). They also copy the WWE’s overuse of “cartoon” characters (Suicide, Jethro Holliday, and whatever the hell Booker T is now, etc).
They need to stop all of that.
The X Division was what made TNA different. Smaller guys tearing the house down night after night. TNA, unfortunately, has also bought into Vince McMahon’s “bigger is better” mindset. I don’t care how many World Titles Sting, Angle, Booker, Steiner, and Nash have held between them. Sting should be a “special attraction”, Booker and Steiner should be mentoring the younger wrestlers, Angle should be in main events and World Title pictures making new stars, and Nash should go home. They should not be dominating the air-time (especially with those MEM skits; why is there still a MEM, they have no opposition? When is the last time anybody even mentioned the Front Line on an episode of Impact?) and PPV main events.
TNA needs to stop trying to attract the “WWE fans”; it hasn’t worked thus far despite TNA altering their product a couple of times, and it won’t work in the future.
If TNA hopes to compete with the WWE for the fans’ attention (and money), they have to give the fans a compelling reason. Giving the fans WWE Jr hasn’t done it (and won’t). Having an Ultimate X match every couple of PPVs won’t do it, either.
They need to drop the MEM crap farther down the show (and eventually phase it out), and put AJ Styles and Christoper Daniels back in the X Division and have THEM contend for the X Division title. I definitely don’t mean those two should just trade the title back and forth, that would get old pretty quick. AJ and Daniels are the biggest X Division stars in TNA (most wrestling fans know who they are, even those who don’t watch TNA). Put those two in the Impact main events wrestling other X Division wrestlers, like Sabin and Shelley, Lethal and Eric Young, Suicide and Creed. Amazing Red is back, put him there, too. Kiyoshi, as well. Bring in some wrestlers from Mexico and Japan for “guest appearances” in the X Division.
The main events are what most people remember. The X Division needs the main events, and it’s two biggest stars, AJ and Daniels to jumpstart it again. Once it’s underway, AJ (and Daniels) can go back to contending for the World Title.

Well for Tna to refocus on the X Division they would need to stop using current storylines.
M.E.M, Dr.Stevie, and Knockouts division should go.
Yes, I admit it that the Knockouts Division means nothing now.
Gail Kim, Roxxi, and Odb is possibly planning on leaving this November.
So its best we get rid of it.
Getting rid of one Division seems like a good step to refocus on the X Division.
Getting rid of the females to bring in more highflyers seems like a good step, but thats just me.

Stop putting so much focus on all of these boring promos and the old veterans that no one really cares about anymore, but mainly the promos. Each 2 hour TNA show only has about 20 minutes of actual wrestling altogether. That’s sad.
Believe it or not, cutting down on the terrible promos actually opens up about 15 minutes for a solid X Division match. It’s not that they don’t have the guys to make the X Division great again, it’s the fact that they don’t use them.

They can highlight the X-Division instead of leaving it on the back burner. The X-Division has the talent, they just need to be allowed to showcase it. TNA has gone into showing dramatic feuds instead of high caliber matches. Maybe they feel like they need to resemble WWE, but I think they got noticed and grew to be as popular as they are by being different from WWE.

First and the most important thing is to give good sum of TV time every week for X-Division rather wasting it on kinds of Booka and Beautiful uglies.
Dont waste time on multi man tag team or multi man X-Division matches.
try to prevent the repeating of matches like SAB vs Consequences for 100 times in a month.
try to recruit some of the guys like Sonjay Dutt,Austin Aries and Petey Williams again to solidify the base of X-Division.
Lastly end all stupid gimmicks like suicide and Macho man machismo retard things.

well Jeff Hardy is leaving WWE in a few months time and i think if TNA can sign Jeff that would be a huge hit.that way TNA can get back on the road.
I also think that the MCMG should split up and so should Consequences Lethal.then alex goes with creed and chris goes with lethal.

By having the x division have better matches then the main event…which they do.. and giving more mic time.. better promos then the main event..

  9. Mister R on June 27th, 2009 10:18 pm

15 minute main event match for the X division can do wonders.
