Got something to say?

These “marks” you speak of have fallen into the habit of labeling everybody and everything — it’s easier than reasoning out a conclusion. Don’t like a particular wrestler? Just stick the letters “r-o-i-d” in his name someplace and get high-fived by the other marks.
Before Vince McMahon put everybody else out of business, this country was made up of dozens of territories. EVERY wrestler moved from territory to territory at various times for various reasons. Why is it now that when a wrestler chooses to leave the WWE and go to TNA he’s labeled a “has been”?
I grew up watching wrestlers from around the world traveling from territory to territory. They would pass through the territory that aired in my area, staying anywhere from a few weeks to a year or so, then they’d move on. I got to see hundreds of wrestlers from all over the world, with different styles, not the same faces, styles, characters, and matches, week after week after week. The World Champion traveled all over, defending his title in territory after territory, and it was a rare treat when he came through the territory that aired in my area. He was the WORLD CHAMPION! It was almost like royalty visiting. Nowadays we have the WWE champions jobbing to their challengers week after week then beating them at the PPVs. The Champions are shoved down our throats and take up so much air-time that we get sick of ALL of them eventually. When Ric Flair was the NWA World Champion, he was based in Georgia but he still traveled all over, defending his title. He was a semi-regular on TV but sometimes we’d go weeks without seeing him. He’d cut promos hyping his up-coming matches with, for example, David Von Erich in WCCW, before heading out.
This is yet another thing Vince McMahon ruined in pro wrestling — territories. We no longer get the opportunities to see wrestlers from other promotions compete. Vince won’t even do talent exchanges any more. And he’s got the marks convinced that the WWE is the only wrestling in the world that matters, everything else is second-rate. Hence, anybody who leaves the WWE, for whatever reason, is automatically labeled “has been”. Sad.
The only has been I can think of that’s on TNA is my former favorite WCW wrestler Kevin Nash. But at least he knows it, he seems to like doing the backstage stuff more. But yeah,TNA needs some readjusting.
WWE often pushes someone who came from TNA to championship material that is true… many in WWE came from TNA but those “marks” as you say don’t see that. I think because they only know and watch WWE and don’t understand TNA and all they see are those who used to be in WWE in TNA and judge it based off of that. But look at Jeff Hardy and CM Punk, they are both holding titles and were in TNA at one point.
I would definitely include Jarrett on that list. He sucked in WWE and still sucks now.
No they don’t
u got has beens in alot of promotions not just TNA. most of the peeps onhere are WWE fans so u`ll see TNA being bashed alot more than the WWE. me i`m a wrestling/”sportsentrtainmentfan” first and foremost so i watch and enjoy and sumtimes dont enjoy all brands.
Give Gary V best answer he deserves it
Interesting point. I’d like to see other takes on that.
With Jeff Hardy’s age, I doubt he was considered such (in comparison to a guy like Dustin Runnels). However, even you have to admit that TNA is too reliant on “name value” when it comes to its main-event wrestlers.
**A better question: is a person who doesn’t make it past jobber in TNA considered a TNA “reject”?
**starred**
No cause Jeff Hardy marks will always consider jeff as the greatest highflyer ever when all he ever done is a couple of highspots.
Well, I’ll admit to saying that once or twice but I do feel that Jeff Hardy is in the same catagory. TNA can be great entertainment but they (like any company in it’s first years of business) need to make some adjustments.
TNA IS GOOD AND SO IS JEFF BUT,WWE NEEDS TO JOIN THE HARDY BOYS UP AGAIN IT’S STUPID TO HAVE THEM SEPERATE,AND THEY WONT PUT A TITLE ON JEFF NO WAY,ANY OF THOSE NEW GUYS THEY WILL NOT LET THEM GET THE UPPER HAND BECAUSE IF SO THEY WOULD HAVE ALREADY GOT A TITLE SHOT,IT’S ALL ABOUT TRIPLE H,AND THE BIG BOYS,OH AND TNA’S AJ STYLES SUCKS IM TIRED OF HIS STUPID CHARACTER WE ALL KNO HE’S GONNA TURN ON KURT ANGLE
NO ONE ON TNA IS A HAS-BEEN
