Who Do U Think Shawn Michael’s Should Have Dropped The Wwf Title To In 1996
i know he dropped it to sid at the surivior series 1996... but who would u have had him drop it to in '96' please put the guy who u think michaels should have dropped it to...
if it was my choice i would have to go with either goldust ( who was way over at the time) or mankind...
i would not of gone with either bret or austin as they were both in a hot feud at the time and should not of been no where near the wwe title due to them reasons... and i would not of gone with sid because he could not draw and was not over he was simply just there transistion guy just like foley was

i think your right goldust or mankind would have been great choices.
I think they got it right for him to drop the title to Sid because it set up for the Undertaker to win the belt at Wrestlemania.
When he lost his smile, he should have manned up and dropped it to Bret.
Bret Hart, so one year after, he gets it back at the same PPV.

To be honest with you, no one. WWF was not doing that great at that time..and a year later there were rumors that they were real close to closing. Shawn Michael’s was literally carrying the company, he was keeping them afloat. So at that time period, there was no other wrestler in WWF that was hot enough to hold the belt. Bret maybe but he couldn’t carry the company like Shawn could. A heel Bret might’ve been able to do better carrying the belt, but at that time period he was a face. Austin’s push didn’t really start yet til the next year so he couldn’t get the belt…So I think WWF went about it the best they could for that time..with Sid getting the belt only to drop it back to Shawn 2 months later.
The only other ones I could possible think of are The Undertaker or Diesel during that time.
